Founded by Susie Walsh and Greg Weekes in 1982, Eastern Metal Supply started with just 5 employees and has since grown to employ over 350. Our single Florida location has also turned into seven nation-wide service centers, totaling over 675,000 square feet of distribution and manufacturing space, and over eighteen million pounds of inventory.

EMS has earned a reputation throughout the United States as a first-class supplier of aluminum products based upon the principles of service and quality. At EMS our goals are three-fold; to serve our customers profitably through the sale of high quality aluminum products; to provide a healthy work environment for our employees; and to make a positive contribution to our communities.

In 1989 our Charlotte, North Carolina branch was opened to better service our customers outside the state of Florida and Canada. Thanks to our ever-growing customer base, we have upgraded our NC facility to 112,000 sq. feet and we also opened a 35,000 sq. ft. new location, EMS Delaware, in early 2006. EMS North Carolina serves the Southeastern, Midatlantic, and Northeastern United States as well as Kentucky, Ohio and Eastern Canada.

In 1995 we opened EMS Texas in Houston. Due to a rapid increase in sales, we expanded our TX location to 80,000 sq. ft. in May 2004. EMS TX serves the Southwestern United States as well as Mexico and Central America.

In January of 1999 we opened our newest branch office in St. Louis, Missouri. EMS Missouri now stands at 45,000 square feet to serve the Northwestern United States west of Ohio and Western Canada.

Our Corporate Office in Lake Worth stands at 143,000 square feet. We also have a 112,000 sq. ft. Hurricane Shutter Products Distribution Center in West Palm Beach. Due to our rapidly expanding customer base, we've just completed a new 160,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Lakeland. EMS FL is comprised of over 400,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space to better serve our customers. EMS Florida locations serve the state of Florida and the Caribbean.

"Just-In-Time Delivery" is the backbone of our business today. Stocking inventory and shipping it as needed saves our customers valuable warehouse space. It also assures them that the products they need will be there when they need them. We are constantly developing new products to keep up with the demands of our customers as they fine tune their products. Many of our hurricane protection systems were developed and tested in response to the building regulations enacted after Hurricane Andrew.
