The ASSA is constantly conducting research, development and testing to ensure that these hurricane protection products comply with the SBCCI, Dade County, TDI and Monroe County Building Codes. Storm Panels All of our Storm Panels cover 12 inches each and can span a height of up to 10 feet without braces or stiffeners. They are produced from lexan, galvanized steel, and 5052-H32 and 6063-T6 aluminum alloys. Our roll formed panels come pre-punched and cut-to-length. All of the panels are stackable to minimize storage space when not in use. As an added option, the aluminum roll formed panels are also available perforated to allow light penetration. Bahama Shutters Bahama Shutters are similar in design to the Colonial Shutter. Bahama shutters cover windows at an angle when open giving the house a Bahamian appearance. Roll-Up Shutters Roll-Up shutters are difficult to install and require more maintenance than other shutter systems.
