The panels are cut to size and attached with anchors or tracks for easier assembly and installation. EMS’ BERTHA™ storm panels are the most affordable protection available on the market today. They can be installed horizontally or vertically, easily stored, and reusable from season to season. EMS storm panels are tested and approved by Florida Building Code standards.
EMS storm panels are also a cost effective solution for insurance wind mitigation discounts. EMS has two BERTHA™ panel systems to choose from. The 2" system is constructed of .050 aluminum, 24 GA galvanized steel, 28 GA galvanized steel, and clear polycarbonate. The 2-1/4” system is made of .040 aluminum, .050 aluminum, 24 GA galvanized steel, .030 galvanized steel, and clear polycarbonate. EMS’ BERTHA™ panel systems are keyhole punched and are custom cut to a specified length. They feature specially designed hemmed or knurled edges for safety. Half panels are available for most panel types, and track systems accommodate the depth of the panels.
The BERTHA™ panel systems come with a variety of headers, tracks, and angles to fit just about any need.
